GLOBAL OUTREACH
Grace Baptist Church has long been recognized as a great missionary church. We support foreign and home missions through prayer and monetary contributions in order to get the Good News of the Gospel to a lost and dying world. We are currently supporting over 150 missionaries.
Pastor Green stated our 2011 theme as: “Reaching the World Through the Word”. The theme verse is Psalm 68:11, which says, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” This year, there will be a renewed emphasis upon missions as a whole and upon the Word of God.
Part of that plan is to increase the awareness of various mission fields to our people. Each month, we will have a featured missionary that we spotlight in all of our publications and media outlets. In addition, we will be providing a list of our missionaries and their contact information so our people are better able to communicate, interact and pray for them.
Another feature we will be implementing in 2011 is the use of technology to interact with our missionaries. We will be pulling down video from the web to play in our services, as well as broadcasting live through the web to talk to them in person. We also plan to develop the ability for our pastoral staff and members to communicate during various trips planned throughout the year.
The future is bright for our church as we seek to build a stronger relationship with our missionaries.
