Dr. James Head has over forty years experience in the ministry.  Although most of his ministry has been spent in the pastorate, Dr. Head has also had many dealings with Christian Education.

Dr. Head has earned a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate in Bible from Cincinnati Baptist College.  Dr. Head has also earned a Th.M. and Th.D. from the Baptist University of USA in Rossville, Georgia.   He has also completed his Ph.D. in Religion from the Great Commission Seminary in Rossville, Georgia.

Dr. Head pastored the Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, Indiana for seven years before taking the pastorate at the Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington, Ohio.  He was at Bible Baptist Church for the next five years.  In 1971, Dr. Head became the pastor of Coulter Road Baptist Church, where he pastored for his longest tenure of 16 years.  The last church Dr. Head pastored was the Central Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.  He was pastor at Central Baptist for 12 years before accepting the position of the Dean of the Grace Baptist Bible Institute in 1999.

Dr. Head has been a teacher at Cincinnati Baptist College for nine years.  He has also been a curriculum writer for the Great Commission Seminary.  Dr. Head was also the Founder and Principle of Coulter Road Baptist School (K-12) in McKeesport, PA for 12 years.

Dr. Head is presently serving as Dean of Grace Baptist Bible Institute.  He is married to the former Anna L. Dendler of Cincinnati, Ohio.
